Director Of Instruction

E.J. Pfister joined the Gaillardia team in May 2007 as Director of Instruction.  E.J. won the Individual NCAA Championship for Oklahoma Sate in 1988 and played professional golf for 13 years.  He is well known in the golf industry and recognized as an “up and comer” in golf instruction.  E.J. has worked with some of the most famous golf teachers in the country including Jim McLean, Mike Holder, Jim Flick, Dr. Dick Coop, Jim Hardy and Hank Johnson; and tour professionals including Bob Tway, Tom Pernice, Scott McCarron, David Edwards and Dudley Hart.  E.J. has been featured on the Golf Channel and appeared in several instructional videos.  He has a passion for players of all ages and abilities.  His adopted slogan is, “tour tested and amateur approved.”  Two-time PGA Tour winner Scott McCarron said about E.J., “this guy looks at more videos than anyone including the best players in the world – I mean this guy is really on the ball.”

A few of E.J,’s other instructional accomplishments include serving as caddy for David Edwards; co-hosting The Golf Channel’s Jr. Golf Academy Live with Jim McLean; and being a founding member of E.J. Pfister School of Gold at D’Andrea Golf Club in Reno, NV.
